AGGRAVATED OPERATING UNDER THE INFLUENCE- LAKE HAVASU

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Felicia Lynn Sloan, 29 of Glendale, for felony Aggravated Operating Under the Influence and misdemeanor Careless Operation of a Watercraft.

On Sunday (4/23) at approximately 5:49 PM, deputies were patrolling on Lake Havasu when they observed a blue and white pontoon boat travelling northbound. Deputies observed a young female subject seated on the front of the boat outside of the safety railing while the boat was in motion.

Deputies stopped the boat and made contact with the operator, identified as Sloan, and advised the reason of the stop. Deputies observed that during the contact, Sloan was reacting slowly and showing signs of impairment. Deputies asked Sloan to step onto their vessel to perform seated battery tests (SFST).

After completing the tests, deputies transported Sloan to the Water Safety Center to complete a breath test. The breath test revealed a blood/ alcohol content of .154%. Felicia Lynn Sloan was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman without incident.
