DRUG POSSESSION/ WARRANT ARREST- LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Tony Joseph Aguirre, 35, and Mary Kate Murphy, 34, both of Lake Havasu City. On April 20 at 6:00 PM, deputies responded to a residence in the 3500 block of Grelle St. in Lake Havasu City to attempt to make contact with Murphy on her active arrest warrants.

Upon arrival, deputies observed the door to the residence was open and could hear Murphy and another subject inside. As deputies entered the residence, they observed drug paraphernalia in plain view. Deputies observed Murphy and the male subject, identified as Aguirre, exiting the bedroom area of the residence. Deputies observed Aguirre was holding a black pouch but set it down on the bed before complying with Deputy’s directions.

Both subjects were detained, and a consent search of the residence was conducted. During the search, deputies located 52 blue pills (suspected fentanyl), 1 gram of methamphetamine, syringes containing an unknown liquid, and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. When asked, Aguirre advised all items located inside the residence belonged to him. He admitted the blue pills were fentanyl, and the substance inside the syringes was methamphetamine.

Both subjects were transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman without incident. Tony Joseph Aguirre was charged with Dangerous Drug Possession, Narcotic Drug Possession, Drug Paraphernalia Possession, all felonies, and an active arrest warrant. Mark Kate Murphy was arrested for three active arrest warrants.
